Chapter 1 - Kariou Shomei & Sun Djinn Kari
A long time ago, back when New Eden was just a place to have giant spaceship battles, find friendship, enemies, rivals, and do amazingly awesome things in the vast blackness of space, a new game was formed. With this new game came a player, we will call him, Sun Djinn Kari. A player who has explored the vastness of space, the low security hang outs, the high security high life, and the emptiness of a wormhole. This, is his origin story.
"Hey, did anyone see this new game? They are calling it DUST 514", said SDK over the corporate communications. "Yea, its going to be complete crap. I dont know why they are bothering, they cant even get this game right!", exclaimed NG. "Such the defeatist. Just because you are supporting a family of 5 doesn't mean everything is pointless. Think of the posibilities that..." "No, really think about it. Do you really think that a company that is barely able to scrape together 50 thousand people a day to play on their one game, to play another?" "I did think about that, but you are missing one thing. Different genres." "What? What else could CCP do that isnt an open universe space sim?" "A first person shooter." NG laughed at SDK for his suggestion. "Why are you laughing? I think that we should seriously give it a shot! Especially since it will take place in New Eden." "Ah huh, so now I have to worry about some stupid, nose picking mercs that know nothing about what the EVE Universe is?" "You will now. I am going to give it a shot, and if you want to as well, feel free to use my account. You wont lose anything for trying would you?" NG was silent for a little while. "Are you there NG? Did you die from laughter?" "I dont think you understand what I am telling you. DUST will fail, because if there is one thing I know, people, sorry, players, are not patient. They wont wait for skills, they definately wont wait for money in game, and I think you will find it hard to do anything in that game that feels remotely like a well put together game." "We will see. SDK Out." SDK docked at the trade hub and off loaded his cargo, then went for a rest.

Part 1 The beta days
My story begins back during the beta. To be honest, I'm not sure if it was open or closed, I just thought the game was always that crappy. My early days of dust were terrible, I died constantly and got very few kills. I was the definition of a noob. One of the biggest differences for beginners back then and now was that there wasn't an academy. Newbies like me were forced to learn the ropes on our own, Plus, the drop suit tutorial was the biggest, most boring pile of shit I have ever seen, so for days of I had no idea how to make a suit without being confused.
Back then I wasn't interested in any corp and honestly only wanted to make my own. After weeks of saving up, (I struggled with making isk) I finally made a corp. It had a really cheesy name and never picked anyone up. After becoming impatient I finally gave up on my corp. I still look back on that moment as my biggest failure in dust. If I'd have had more confidence and persevered I could've become one of the big league corp leaders. We'll never know.
In the early days of dust, the game's controls were very clunky and the overall performance very glitchy. The funniest glitch back then involved the lav's. As you rode them your character would lag behind. So your character always looked like they were driving an invisible car. The controls were so bad that it caused most of my friends that I invited to the game to abandon it in the same day. The game, quickly becoming stale from the constant deaths and horrible performance led to me also abandoning the game...temporarily
TO BE CONTINUED...
P.S. the bulk of my story will be after the beta. At this point, I had about 100 kills. I currently have about 12k kills

I started up in the end of closed beta and took an immediate liking to scouts, of course back then like zor said strange controls super glitchy and the gunplay was not to par, of course as soon as I played a few matches it wasn't really my favorite game and kinda didn't play much, of course you only had the AR, LR, SG, HMG, forge, MD, 3 sidearms and there weren't so many damn Proto! There were alpha and beta variants different suits had different color themes. Basically anyone could be a temp logi at STD beta level having 2 equipment slots with loss of a sidearm and there were tank and drop ship BPO's. But the most prominent thing I can remember is my beautiful "solace" scout it was an alpha AUR scout and it was white and gold... I miss those days but oh well.

I picked up Dust near the end of Beta, and it only took getting killed by a heavy once or twice for me to realize that was my true calling. Heavies were incredibly OP at the time, and after putting in 600k SP to my heavy, I was able to leave the academy with an 11/1 KDR. however that soon plummeted as I was introduced to real matches. Shortly after, Vice Galloza recruited me the same game he met me, blown away by my charm and good looks.
The following 6 or 7 months were a lot of fun in the phoenix, I had earned my way up to a Director at the time and we were fighting huge wars consistantly. We put billions of isk into the FUCK EON coalition, and though it was probably the biggest and roughest war that has ever happened on dust, we took those Teamplayers bastards off the map, so it was worth it.
Towards the end of September our old leader got caught up in some shady business that he was keeping from everyone else, and rather than deal with it in the corp, he just left and started something new, and that's when things started to get rough in the Phx Fed for a while. Being that he was our leader at the time a fair amount of his friends followed and we were left with only the most loyal of players. It was at this time we knew the corp needed to live or die in the hands of a new CEO, and called upon the entire corp to vote.
I took over the corp end of October and we've been doing everything we can do make it prosper. With an entirely new leadership tier, and the opportunity to learn from a previous leaders mistakes, we were on the right track and started on a healthy corp progression. Fast forward to now and we've grown to be a larger corp than we ever were before, were very active both in pub matches and in PC battles, a great mix a veteran players and high potential new players, strong leaders and a rebuilt reputation throughout the game.
Who's ready to see how high we can build it from here?

Part 2. A chance encounter
Recapping part 1: I played during the beta, thought it was shit, and quit do to a lack of attachment
The only thing that got me playing dust again was my friend telling me that the full game had been released. My first days in the full game were similar to my beta days. I was corp-less and died a lot. My k/d was almost funny to look at. The funny thing is that I never was a part of the academy, I think I started before that, so I was always getting destroyed. However, despite these horrible beatings, I maneged to find something to keep me playing, a corp. More specifically, my first corp.
How I ran into them was simple, I randomly joined their squad right before a battle. Back then, there was a pre lobby for pub matches too, this was used to give randoms a chance to squad up, I still don't understand why ccp got rid of this. When I joined their squad, they were bickering about random stuff. The squad was filled with the higher ups of the corp known as the illuminaten orden. Tenkai nankobu was third in command, tylnn jade was second in command and ran an eve account that held and managed corp funds, and enlightened queen was the CEO.
That single battle made me want to join, they were friends to each other and played to have fun. To be honest, they were surprised that I wanted to join them and accepted me immediately. I still, to this day, consider this my best decision in dust. This corp became my second family.

Part 3: good ol' days
Illuminati soldier, Ricky bobby98, dragon Gil, tylnn jade, enlightened queen, tenkai nankobu, kobalt kilo, saphira draco, the desired angel, charactus black, aquilus San gimagno, rei sver, stonney mallony, and sergeant reiland.
All of the people i can still remember from my first corp. Its been over a year and I can still recall their personalities, the long nights we spent chatting rather than fighting. We fought together, complained together, won together, and lost together.
The corp had a ranking system to decide who would run squad. I managed to make it to captain after about a month. I considered this such a great accomplishment that whenever I logged in I always said "its everyone's favorite captain.... zor-el dantnick!!!!" I kinda still do that now because of that.
I would say that my 4 best friends from the corp was Ricky, dragon, tenkai, and tylnn. We sorta created our own little circle within the corp. We always squadded together, stayed up late talking together, and had each others back.
Aside from that, we were the remnants from those days. The last one's who stuck together, even when the corp was gone.

Its time to finally finish my crappy saga
Part: whatever comes after the last one
I left off my story saying "we are the remnants" this is because no matter how much I loved those days, I'm in this corp now, meaning something obviously happened. About two months after joining illuminaten orden, I logged on to find I was in a starter corp again. At the time, I was more confused than angry. After searching through my mail and checking the dead husk of my old corp, I came to the conclusion that my ceo, enlightened queen, had kicked everyone from the corp, resigned, and gave ownership of the corp to the one player who stopped playing a few weeks before. Refusing to accept this, I immediately created a chat I titled "remnants". After the anxiety of waiting several minutes, a few of the other ex-members trickled in. Louis, tenkai, Ricky, dragon, angel, black, tylnn, and aquillus. After more detective work, I learned that not only had queen kicked everyone, she took the entire corp wallet. All 346 million of it, gathered from our periodical donations. To this day I have no idea why we were all kicked, I've talked with all of the ex leaders, but got told conflicting stories. Supposedly, it was a personal conflict, but that's just speculation on my part. I could've kept searching for the truth with the other members, but at that moment the only thing that was on our minds was, where do we go now?

Part 5: wayward soul
Following the destruction of the illuminaten orden, me and my fellow dustees were cast out with nowhere to go. I, refusing to accept this, tried to rally as many of the ex-members into a chat I personally titled "remnants". However, most of the members quit dust for various reasons. The inevitable rift had already formed. As we went our separate ways, we used the chat as a common ground. My first corp I travelled to was l.o.t.i.s. they were fairly laid back, but I felt unwanted there. At the time, I was still terrible at the game and held no significant value as a player. I was recommended by tenkai nankobu, a former illuminaten orden member, to join red star Jr with her. After extreme hesitation (I despised all big corps at the time) I joined. This was a few hours after I decided to try out the amarr HMG #Alegendisborn

Chapter 2 - The boring hole, the birth of Veka Kari
Veka started out like any other clone, a blank slate, given freedom of choice to be whatever he chose to be. He could differentiate himself from his brethren, or he could follow the horde. It didn't really matter. He put whatever meager points he had into a few skills, and then jumped onto the battlefield. "Movement, check. Firing, check. Inventory, check. Shield, armor, check. Alright, lets..." He was shot in the head, and fell to the ground. His consciousness was teleported away to the cloud until he spawned in a new body on the battlefield. "What the hell?! Ok, so this game is brutal, and unforgiving, much like anything else... lets go!" He spawned in, and made a dash to the first turret he could find. It was a small hybrid turret. After test firing it a few times he pointed it at an opponent and found it didn't go too far, but it output a lot of damage. "This is what I am talking about!" He jumped off the turret and slayed a few reds. The system was complaining that the match was almost over and their MCC was about to explode. "Well, there is no turning back here..." He climbed into a large missile turret and started firing at the enemy MCC. "It hit! No way! This is going to be epic!" Enough damage was done with that firing to make success possible again, but a slim chance at best...
Coming soon, Chapter 3, "Phase 2"
I made some minor tweaks to the previous chapter.

part 6 A new saga: red star New friends, rivals, enemies, and...love interests? ? Jk, lol My red star jr days could easily be compared to a boot camp. The social hierarchy was simple; Red star jr recruits were less than dirt, and the actual red star members were the equivalent of gods. At the top of this pyramid was Eugene killmore, the guy you didn't fuck with because he signs your paycheck. For the record, I will simply refer to red star jr members as Jr's. We Jr's didn't get a paycheck because it was considered a privilege to be there. It was in my first days that I made my first impression, and enemy. Sentient archon, a true believer of the red star social hierarchy, and red star member. I randomly invited him to a squad of former illuminaten members. After one battle, he immediately left and said in the red star/Jr pub chat, "if I ever wanted to get to be as good as him, I'd have to stop hanging out with that trash." I promptly cussed him out for everyone to see. From that Moment, I was infamous amongst red star, and famous amongst the Jr's, as the guy who pissed off archon. Following that event, I was completely shunned by red star members. Only the Jr's would ever pick me up. Amongst these Jr's, the death trio was formed. Our play styles and personalities complemented one another to the point that we were considered the strongest team amongst the Jr's, capable of going toe to toe with a small squad of red star members. Us three, consisting of three caldari assaults with assault rifles, were considered legend. Calikid, the arrogant and hot headed leader, would charge into battle, followed by me, his equally hot headed support. Beside me would be hazyeyez, the calm brains of the group. We were like goddamn power rangers. Us three are still friends today. It is our long running joke that if we reunited the death trio today, we could probably win a PC alone. Weirdly enough, circumstances always prevent us three from squadding up together. Almost as if ccp fears what we could do, what we would accomplish, and how many careers we ruin. To be continued... P.S. my little "love interests" joke was because tenkai nankobu, who fire2myblunt claims is my girlfriend, was the one who originally told me to join red star jr with her. And the other girl was code slucid, one of the best logi's in eon. She'll be mentioned in my next post. Whenever I get around to it...

Part 7: growing up and growing stronger As I spent my time playing dust with red star, a gradually managed to see the senior members as just members, not gods. What seemed like an impossible power gap was crossed. Not with training, just with time. You could say "my eyes finally adjusted to the bright light" it was also at this time that I came to see what bound red star, no, eon together. Not loyalty and a passion for battle, just greed. The people in this alliance didn't give a damn about one another. Just the speed that they could fill their wallets. This realization created a rift between me and the other members. I drifted away from them, envying their friendship. Hating their personality. I wished I could return to the time that I was ignorant of the highest point of dust, back when I was weak, back when I had an actual desire to get better. That time was long gone. My time with the illuminaten orden was merely a dream at this point. The friends I had made then are gone. They had all moved on with their lives. They had all moved on from dust 514. I wondered what kept me on this long, and decided immediately to give up as well.
I would then proceed to quit the game, and delete dust
